Review: Good Hydrometer - The Hydrometer seems to be high quality. I broke the flimsy one that came with my wine making kit on day one, very thin glass, and this one seems to be a thicker glass. It is not easy to read, but at my age none of them are. Shipping was faster than most of the stuff we order on desertcart, we live in the boonies, and it usually takes a few days, and if I am remembering correctly it got here in two days. Not the cheapest hydrometer, but worth the few extra dollars IMHO.

A: I will say no but I think an Alcoholmeter will do the trick! I suggest you search for this product on Amazon.

**Q: Will this work for maple syrup?**
A: I assume the syrup will be added to the wort. In this case yes it will. It will probably measure pure syrup too

**Q: what temperature is it calibrated to**
A: There is a chart that tells you what water temperature to adjust your specific gravity readings to. Such as, if your water temperature is 70 degrees it tells you to add .001 to your reading

**Q: Would this kit also work to check the ABV of whisky?**
A: In my opinion a hydrometer of this type is only useful for measuring the specific gravity of the liquid prior to distillation.
