This objective is known as a finite objective so you'll have to position it 160mm from the camera sensor. The other type of objective is a infinite objective which requires a 200mm lens to focus known as a tube lens. You'll need an RMS adapter, mine is a RMS to M42 for example lots on ebay. Then you'll need an M42 to whatever your camera mount is. You'll need some kind of extension tubes to around 160mm between the objective and the cameras sensor. Theres probably a little line on the camera body somewhere to show that Theres lots more info about this kind of thing here: http://extreme-macro.co.uk/ **Q: Does the objective lens come with a container for it?** A: Yes a normal objective plastic threaded sleeve **Q: Can I lower the magnification to 2 times rather than 4 or would I need to buy a different lens for that?** A: Yes you can. You need to shorten the overall distance from lens to sensor but yes you can. A set of bellows really helps with this. **Q: Will this fit an old b&l dynazoom. i want to lessen the magnification from the 10x to 4x?** A: Look at your 10x lens. To fit three things should match: the optical design must match - if you see an infinity symbol on your 10x lens -- the lens do NOT match. Next the the focal length must match, if you see 170/ on you 10x lens - your microscope is RMS, it can work - but requires an adapter - not worth it . After spending a lot of time thinking about getting a CFN objective I read a little about this objective and decided to take a chance. At this price, it really can't be beat. Works great on the Labophot and I would have had to spend several times as much for an objective which was a real improvement over it. I have it hooked up to an APS-C camera. I posted one image of an aphid exactly as it came out of the camera. and one image after using a bit of focus stacking and Photoshop. As you can see, it can just almost fill an APS-C sensor. It may be possible to fill it with a bit more extension than I had. While I have not yet tried to use it for this application this lens is getting a lot of use for extreme macro photography. Typically rather than using a microscope people make direct connections to a camera. The idea here is get a series of adapters and extension tubes to connect the objective 160mm away from a DSLR/Mirrorless camera sensor. Then typically a macro rail such as a Stackshot is used to take a series of photos and a software package like Zerene Stacker is used to make a final image. Since this is a finite lens it does not require a tube lens and is very simple to hook up. Unusual for finite objectives it does not seem to require significant corrections from the eye piece and the fact it was designed to work with a cover slip apparently does not degrade the image much either.
