Released in 2012, ing Dogs (PS3) is an open world action-adventure video game which is set in Hong Kong and features an undercover cop. Wei Shen the cop from San Francisco Department tries to take down the Triads, the Chinese transnational organized crime organization, from the inside. Developed by United Front Games, this third person game was published by the Square Enix London Studios. Undercover officer Wei Shen, in the process of getting into the inside of the Sun On Yee Triads organization so as to make the right connections, gets busted in a gone-bag-drug deal and lands in jail. He meets, Jackie Ma, an old friend who offers Wei to join his gang after they are released. Being part of the gang, he gets in touch with Sun On Yee members and later Winston Chu, a Sun On Yee Red Pole and leader of the "Water Street Gang". To test his loyalty, Winston sends Wie on missions to gain back control on his territory from his nent, Sam "Dogeyes" Lin, leader of the "Jade Gang". The story goes on to reveal many subplots and missions leading him to go up in the gang. Set in the vibrant modern-day Hong Kong with exotic locations and busy streets, the player is free to a fight club, car-jack, sing karaoke, visit gambling dens betting on cockfights and much more, without blowing out the cover. The game is filled with high-octane action, a mix of martial arts and a lot of intense fights. With the game being highest seller in both United Kingdom and United States, it also did very well in Australia and Japan. It is rated 83.66% by GameRankings and 83/100 by Metacritic.
