Just ordered this and I am hoping it will plug in to the older type transmitter that is worn on the belt. Will the mic cord reach?

Yes -- I am a pastor and replaced my more expensive Audio Technica mike with a broken connection where the wire meets the earpiece wire. The cord is longer and the connector is the same and fits my bodypack connector perfectly. Also, in my opinion, its sound quality is better.
