These balls are best for the novice golfer ... kids who are just starting out, hackers who lose a lot of balls on the course or those who are just out for a good time. I wasn't surprised that these were fairly used ... I am not sure if I'd agree with their rating. Half the balls were cleaned, scrubbed and washed but still had lots of visible wear.As you can see in my pictures ... one of the balls has green paint/scuff marks from where it probably hit a fence or a wall. One ball has a scuff deep enough to affect the dimple pattern of the ball, which likely would affect its flight. Another has stains from where it was plugged in the mud (possibly underwater) for a long period. One ball is bright yellow with a cartoon logo on it ... I'd never use a ball like this on an actual course.Running your fingers over the covers of many of the balls, you'll feel that these are not generally balls that have been hit once or twice. They are well used balls which have been cleaned up well. Anytime a ball has circular brown mud stains, it was likely stuck for a while, which could change the shape of the ball or damage the cover.Some of the ball brands you'll find ... a majority were Kirkland Signature from Costco (retail at $35 for 24 balls new) ... Wilson Nitro (a dozen recycled Nitro balls go for about ten bucks) ... a few Nike balls ... one Noodle (too bad there weren't more as I do like Noodle Balls, which are made by Taylormade.) A few of the ball brands I was unfamiliar with and looked pretty cheaply made.At $35 for 50 balls ... from a value standpoint, $.80 per ball for these brands is average to below average. My course sells recycled balls in the pro shop, two for a buck. You will save 20 - 50% off the price if most of these balls were new, so I can't complain too much. However, if you do lose very few balls per round, you are better off buying new as the liklihood some of these balls have been changed by long exposure to the elements is possible. Value-wise, I would rank these average. I hit them during a few rounds and they played okay ... although the colored balls, or the scuffed ones, were saved for my practice net. I hope my honest review, after actually using the product, was helpful to you.

I wasn't sure what to expect from recycled/reclaimed golf balls, nor was I completely sure what the value or purpose would be. I'm happy I tried them out. Overall, the balls are in great shape. Not new, but definitely mostly only gently played. Across the board, the ball selection includes higher-than-average quality compared against range balls. While not as cheap as a bucket of balls, range balls can only do so much before you don't really know if your distances or your shaped shots are really doing what you expect. So bulk practice with range balls for basics and warm-up is fine but being able to hit a few dozen practice shots using quality play balls is very useful, and helps instill confidence in your practice. Secondly, its letting me try out brands and models that I never would have tried if I was buying sleeves or boxes brand new. I sort them out by types so I can practice with a similar group at a time and get much better feel for the variations in balls. (And, confession time, I like carrying a handful of low-cost but still decent balls in the bag for those near-hazard and over-water shots where I'm still 50-50 chance at losing my ball.) This was a nice selection and is turning out far more useful than I was expecting.

If you're looking for budget-friendly golf balls, these are a fantastic option. The mix of brands like Kirkland and Nike offers solid performance, and they’re all in near-mint condition. At the current price of $39.99, this is only $.80/ball. When you are losing balls all the time, this is the way to go. It's also the way to go when you are not good enough to really know the difference between a $3-4 ball and an $.80 used ball.Overall, upon receiving the balls, I inspected them closely, and I think they are all very usable. Some are clearly a bit more used than others, and that's ok. Some have initials on them that a golfer added in order to tell which ball was theirs before they lost their ball! I'd say there are a half dozen balls or so in the bag that are of lesser quality than the rest. Again, they are usable, but they are not in as good of shape as the rest. Just going through these 50 balls, it is clear to me that about a half dozen of them do not fit with the rest. Somehow, they did not fall down to the next grading tier in their system. Not a huge deal, but I am awarding 4 stars, as a result.By the way, one of the balls is signed by Tiger Woods. KIDDING!

So one thing I'd like to get out of the way really quick... You're getting EXACTLY what the description says you're getting on this one. Golf Ball Monkey as a brand sells a number of different options of used balls. You can get even cheaper ones than these... or if you're looking for the high end stuff you can pay a few more dollars and get a bag full of Callaway, etc. This particular product is what they advertise... value balls... Good balls for the money basically.I absolutely love that they come in a mesh bag you can just pick up and walk outside with. I've bought used balls on auction sites, etc and they usually come in a box that falls apart due to the weight... The nylon bag is easy to transport and does a great job of keeping things from rolling away.The balls themselves are well cleaned and with a few quick bounce tests, mostly in very good shape. An average golfer like me won't have any issues with these over new I don't think.

What I received was the following:- A dozen or more Kirkland Signature- A lot of Nike balls that are no longer being made- Way too many Top Flite (aka Rock Flite)- A few misc. Pinnacle, Precept, Noodle, Wilson, etc.- 4 Yellow Top Flite, one Red Nitro and one Orange Nitro (so 6 colored ones in total)- Bag of wooden teesThere were zero Titleist, Callaway, Taylor Made, Bridgestone, etc...basically, the better balls folks actually want. I received none of those in my assortment.This assortment is fine for hitting around the back yard and maybe if you have a difficult over-the-pond shot and want to drown a Rock Flite, but otherwise nothing that I'd really choose to play on an actual course. The majority were clean, but some had some dirt on them and some had obviously been sitting in the mud for quite a while as one side was discolored. The orange ball I received was so faded on one side it was almost copper in color.So if you want a bunch of balls just to hit around the yard you'll need to decide if you think you're getting your money's worth or not with this assortment. I don't mind a random logo or a sharpie marking on them, but any ball that's clearly been sitting in moisture/mud or the sun for extended periods of time probably should not be included. I received a few that I'm just going to throw in the trash.
