Disappointing
I was excited to get this book and start making bags, however I have discovered a mistake already, I am working on the mini shoulder bag pattern from page 62 and the pattern instructions do not match the photo shown, the bag in the photo has obviously been worked in the round but the pattern instructions are for working in rows which is going to result in a completely different style to what is advertised. Quite disappointing really. i hope they are not all like that.

Edit*** Pics and patterns don't 😳match I want to make all 40 projects!!
Edit ** unfortunately the pictures and the patterns don't match!!! Very disappointingbook is amazing! I have a real love of collecting crochet books and I'm always happy if there are 2 or 3 patterns I know I'd likevto make. This book has 40 patterns and I really want to make them all! Lovely clear patterns, concise details of yarn needed and beautiful photos too. Love it, thank you ☺️

Patterns totally inaccurate
I've bought quite a few patterns over the years and never, never come across something that is so totally rubbish. First pattern I tried was obviously not going to work at all. One of the lines said 'Repeat from * to *' when there was no '*' or indeed '*' to work from or to. I gave up on that one and finally settled on trying the Mesh Shopper Bag (I'd some cotton yarn I needed to use up). So, chain 41, working in 40 of these chains twice plus three in each end chain, you'd expect to end up with 84. So far, so good. Next row, work one sc in each sc, but three in each end stitch, you'd again expect an extra 4 stitches, right? Which means 88 stiches. Except you’re supposed to have 90 according to the pattern. And you need 90 for the rest to work. The mesh shown in the picture looks nothing like that on my bag, but hey, I’ve got mesh. Now, handles. At the top, it says to break off yarn and join the same colour anywhere in the round. If using the same colour, why break off in the first place? But after a few rows to make the top band, it gives instructions on how to create the handles. But if you’ve joined your yarn in a random stitch, might the handles be in random locations and not aligned? Still got this bit to go. From what I can see of other patterns are equally rubbish. For example, Granny Square Patchwork Tote. It says you need to make 24 granny squares in total, 12 at the front, 12 at the back, but from the picture, it’s obvious there’s squares at the bottom and sides too, so 35 in total. Other issues; not all abbreviations are listed and no guide on how to achieve any stitches, which if you’re a beginner you’d need. For some stitches, it gives a very brief description, but at times it says something like ‘Begin tapestry crochet using your chart or motif’. Sorry? Shouldn’t the pattern give a chart/motif if the worker wants to make the bag pictured? And as it’s bags, for some it makes sense that a liner might be advisable, but you get nothing other than ‘Add lining if you want…’. I’m a seasoned knitter and crocheter, but I am not a sewer, so some sort of general advice might have been useful. Thank God for YouTube. Can only think that patterns were created by AI; they were certainly not tested.

Really clear details but not all the bags on the cover are covered In the book

Ok
Still getting the hang of crochet but book seems ok

Shame
Shame that most of these are using Wasted Wool, and have tried a couple of the bags using the instruction, but finished product doesn't look like photographs.

Lots of Variety
I love this book. I am new to crochet and this book has so many different options of bags, with different ability levels. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I look forward to doing some of the more advanced bags at a later date. This is one of the best books for crochet bags that I’ve found, and I’ve bought a number of different books. I highly recommend this one.

Beautiful and Creative
Beautiful and classy ideas for gifts and to get fashionable. Now I’ll have to buy lots of cotton yarn. I love it.

Some patterns are NOT what is pictured
The bags in the photos look great but so far every pattern I’ve started is not what is pictured. Even a beginner will see this. It’s a shame because the bags in the photos look great. The product will have a similar shape/volume but the instructions do not match the picture. The stitching will not match. An experienced stitcher could figure out patterns straight from the photos of the bags with a little trial and error but following patterns given will not produce the bag pictured for some of the bags. First pattern book out of over 40 purchased that has such a problem.

AI generated nonsense book
I am fairly certain this book is entirely AI generated. Most of the patterns make no sense and leave out important details. The photos seems nice but if you look closely some of them have nonsensical AI details, such as a strap that splits into 2 straps halfway along, or is just attached to one side of the bag and then goes nowhere. Also the book is more of a magazine level quality and the pages are very thin.
