### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I was looking for. It works great!!!

I used this dual WIFI switch on my Chamberlain Garage Door Openers to individually control two side by side garage doors. It worked great! For a simple garage door opener it would be a breeze to set up. For mine not so much, but it was no fault of the WIFI switch. It took me a while to figure out how to connect it to my particular openers. My openers are a little complicated. First off, they are WIFI garage door openers, but Chamberlain doesn't allow for you to connect to Alexa with them. You have to use their app which works great but it has one limitation. It doesn't integrate with Alexa. And I wanted to be able to tell Alexa to turn on the switch for each individual door and have it work. I have an Echo Dot in my garage, living room, great room, and bedroom and control many things in my home by voice alone. Anyway, these doors also have battery backup and a lighted control panel etc. So just touching the two wires together that go to the control panel doesn't trigger my doors to open or close. I took one of the garage door control panels down and took it apart and saw that the open/close switches were numbered SW1 and SW2 on the circuit board. I soldered two wires (one to each side of SW2) on each control panel and fed each pair to it's own channel on the WIFI Smart switch. It works great! I set it up so that I can control opening and closing each door via Alexa and I don't see how it could work any better! This is a great deal for a dual WIFI switch. I also bought an electrical cover and put the WIFI switch under cover. I will post a couple of pictures.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HOW TO PAIR WITH WI-FI (and avoid smashing with a hammer) - IOS

I have 4 of these and use them for action figure and vehicle lighting and sound. This is a 5 star product with a -247 star wi-fi pairing experience. If you’re having trouble pairing - it’s not you - it’s poor instructions, a major app UI design flaw, and a confusing wi-fi topic that should be abstracted from the user. Short story (sorry - it’s not really that short) instructions that may help you not return this cool device or smash it into little bits. You probably have a modern router that has a single name (e.g. MyWiFiNetwork) for its 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios. The Wi-Fi relay switches NEED to use the 2.4GHz radio. Your iPhone is probably on the 5GHz radio so the “quick pairing” function in the EWeLink app WILL NOT WORK. COMPATIBILITY MODE pairing. This is the way. You must ENABLE THIS IN 2 PLACES: The EWeLink app AND the Wi-Fi relay! THE RELAY: Get the relay into this mode by holding the pairing button (just pick the one closest to the LED) for about 5-7 seconds until you get the dot-dot-dash pattern and then let go. This is the quick pairing mode you have to go through on your way to get to compatibility mode but you DO NOT WANT this mode. Hold the pairing button AGAIN for another 5-7 seconds until you get the constant dot-dot-dot repeating pattern. The relay is now in compatibility mode. THE APP: Hit the plus (+) button AT THE BOTTOM of the main screen (NOT the top right plus button). Enjoy being distracted by all of the pretty icons. What you really want is in buried in tiny, tiny font WHEN YOU SCROLL DOWN off the screen below the icons to see: Compatible mode > Really? - someone was paid to design that screen? Assuming you are in the consistent blinking pattern on the relay already (and haven’t waited too long) - tap Compatible mode and you will see a new screen that has a Next button at the bottom. DON’T HIT IT YET. Go to Settings / WiFi and let the screen refresh until you see something like this in your Other Networks: ITEAD-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very slick little wi-fi enabled two channel controller for the geek in you. The eWeLink app to control it is kind of weak.

Got mine a few days ago, and fired it up today. Some notes: Read Hell Bound's review for directions on how to set this up. Once you have Channel 1 going, repeat the procedure for Channel 2 by again putting the board into pairing mode and again pressing the big plus sign at the bottom of the main app's page. Mine had recent enough firmware, and the app was current, and so it used Quick Pairing Mode (MUCH nicer). The Channel 2 setup went very quickly, as most of the info needed about your wi-fi connection is now pre-filled. The picture of the product on Amazon with the labels is incorrect for the relay wiring on the one I got. With the power input connectors to the right, the top terminal for each relay is NO (normally open), middle is Common, and bottom is NC (normally closed). Mine came set for 'inching mode'. Here's what that means: Inching mode is where the device is triggered and closes the relay for one second, then releases it. Most common usage of that mode is for garage door or gate openers, where the motor doing the work is looking for a momentary pulse to activate. The other mode is 'latching' - press the app button to close the relay, press it again to release it. To change the mode, use the Momentary/Self-lock button. Mine offered a firmware update. Here's how you get to that, and the settings in general: Looking at the screen that loads when you launch the app, long-press the rectangle that shows the switches. It should go to the next page with bigger buttons. Now press the three dots in the upper right hand corner, and select 'Setting'. On the screen that then loads, you can edit various text fields by touching the pencil icon, and if you need a firmware update, it will indicate that (current firmware as of this writing on 10/11/2018 is 2.6.0). Touch the down arrow under the new firmware version, and it will download and update the firmware in about five minutes. I have not deployed the thing yet, so don't know about wi-fi range, or how well it will work controlling my garage door. But it works fine on the bench. A very nice little device, and quite the value for the money. I only needed a single channel for now, but bought this one anyway because, well, I like toys. Revision #1: Downgraded to four stars. The eWeLink app is poorly thought out. If you're using the hardware and app as I am, for a garage door opener, and you install the app on more than one device (phone) using the same account, only the phone that logged into the app last works - it logs the other phones out. How stupid is that? You have to create an eWeLink account for each device AND share the devices from the original account with those additional accounts. There is no justification for having to jump through those kinds of hoops for a simple control app. None. I didn't realize this limitation until I installed the app on my wife's phone using the account I created, and suddenly the app on my phone was logged out. Revision #2: Moved from my workbench to being installed and working as a garage door opener. Works as expected so far.
