What is the cache for this drive? The product description says 64, but Seagate says 256.

Yes, you may have to initialize and partition the drive before using it on you security camera/cctv. Unless your camera server can do it.

I don't know about 4 pin, but modern hard drives use SATA cables for data and another cable for power into it, nothing about 4 pins.
