Some kits I have tried are just a waste of time and do not do what they are advertised to do. I have been making wine from my own fruit and kits for almost 4 years now and truly enjoy it. I have never made hard cider and so like most of us who brew or make our own wine I decided to try something new. I ordered this kit. It is complete and easy, fail proof. Always read the directions first then proceed. I followed the directions and yep great tasting sparking/carbonated hard cider. Remember, after bottling let it sit a while it only gets better. Will I re-order this kit again, yes and may even try another flavor. Everything you need is in the package (one side is the concentrate and the other the yeast, cider flavoring, sweetener and of course the directions). All you need to supply is 2.2 pounds of corn sugar/dextrose, a fermentation bucket/big mouth fermentor, stirring spoon, sanitizer and cleaner, bottles caps, carbonation drops or as I did some extra sugar at bottling for the carbonation, and you are good to go. Everything as advertised. I did not like the packaging, because as soon as you cut the top, you've got syrup you have to pour. I would much rather have had the instructions and other ingredients in an outer package that I could open before the syrup to read the instructions ahead of time.The kit did well, but I had to use my winemaking fining ingredients (chitosan/kieselsol) to clear it before bottling.
