She had no problems using it safely and on ger own after very little help from her mo t her
This was a gift for my 9 yr old granddaughter. She loves it and uses it often, even though its been 8 months since she received it she still finds fun things to do with it.

Overall not very impressed…
The blade doesn’t cut smooth edges on Cricut cardstock. It has trouble connecting to my laptop. This caused me a lot of wasted time only to have it happened again when I wanted to use it. I finally thought to try connecting it to my iPad and that worked. I thought I was getting the 6” wide cutting space but it’s the 4”. There was a bunch of stuff included in the box and most of it I’ll probably never use. A mat lost it’s sticky on the six cuts of my first project…overall not very impressed…

Joy Where Have You Been?
This was a Mother’s Day gift to myself. I have a massive original Cricut Maker that takes up so much space and just wasn’t getting used that often. Set up was simple with the app right out of the box and I love that this works with smart materials without needing to use a mat. Great value for the money. Easy to use and the creation possibilities are endless with this small machine. I’ve already made so much more than I ever did with the Maker.

Very fast and surprisingly quiet
I’m really impressed with my Cricut! It’s very fast and surprisingly quiet, which makes it so enjoyable to use. Even though it’s a compact machine, you can do so many different projects with it. It’s perfect if you don’t have a lot of space but still want to get creative. I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend it!

Don't Know What All The Hypes About
This machine is very basic. I have done iron-on transfer letters for a t-shirt, a few cards and some decals. I find it to be limited in the projects I can use from Cricut. Most of them need editing and you have to be a software genius to do that. I find most of the tutorials not easy to understand and lose my attention. I would like to see videos starting with "So you bought a Cricut, what next?" There should be a tutorial that one can go to right away to discuss all the design software features and how to use them. I would like to see a more user-friendly format for "Dummies". I would like to see the software do most of the editing conversions. It recognizes that you have the Joy 2, so any card you want to do it edits and converts it for you. Yeah, I'm more than a little disappointed in the software for sure. I found the machine to be noisy when cutting as well. My biggest disappointment is that I can't really do any projects that I want to and I find all the images to be very childish looking as well but I like a more sophisticated look, I guess.
