Veteran film maker Todd Verow (Vacationland) returns with an intriguing experimental film shot all over the world on just a cellphone camera. The film is based on the journey of a male hustler, named "Nail", who reenters the world of male prostitution after being in a relationship for ten years. Hooks to the Left examines how the world of prostitution has changed since the advent of the internet. The resulting pixilated visuals, filled with male bodies, abstract interiors and street scenes, serve as a fitting dreamlike landscape for the narrated journal entries of Nail's adventures of internet driven hustling.

Review: BUY THIS AND YOU'LL GET A LEFT HOOK! - This so-called movie looked like a Mondrian after the artist tripped on acid. I thought something was wrong with my DVD player at first. I should have read the reviews before purchasing this piece of "artistic" garbage. You get nothing but pixilating dancing colors that could make you go blind along with a droning and sometimes inaudible narration over the whole thing. This should not even be listed on desertcart. I bought the DVD because of the director and a couple of the actors. The pictures on the front and back can't even be seen in this so-called movie since it was filmed on a cell phone!

This so-called movie looked like a Mondrian after the artist tripped on acid. I thought something was wrong with my DVD player at first. I should have read the reviews before purchasing this piece of "artistic" garbage. very disappointing movie. i don't think even with a magic wand anyone can make any sense out of this movie. everything is digitised and i couldn't make a thing out during 90% of movie NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY after ANOYMOUS, all if todd's work has been somewhat disappointing
