This is an indispensable companion for any serious analyst. While many books explain what structured analytic techniques are, Beebe and Pherson show you exactly how to apply them to complex, messy data. The case studies—ranging from national security to health crises—are masterfully constructed. Using this book helped me see where my own biases were creeping in and provided a clear roadmap for more objective reporting. It’s not just a textbook; it’s a professional development tool.

This book is the compliment to Structured Analytic Techniques for Intelligence Analysis by Pherson and Heuer. As with their book, this book is exceptional in every sense of the word. The only aspect missing, and presumably so as to not bias or contaminate the reader's perspective, is that all of the case studies are not fully populated with actual information. Regardless, this is an extremely good book and definitely worth the money.

This book has a very slimy feel to the outside cover. Other than that the book is fine
