Today we have an extensive collection of microwave and dishwasher safe dinnerware, giftware and accessories. This 12 piece set contains 4 each Dinner Plate, Salad Plate and Mug. The Dinner and Salad Plates are manufactured from the UK, the mugs from China. desertcart.com Introduced in 1816, Spode's Blue Italian dinnerware is a classic that has remained popular among collectors and diners throughout the centuries. This 12-piece set is ideal for daily dining that are all dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Referred to as "transferware," the elaborate pattern is engraved by hand onto copper plates and then transferred onto the ceramic by skilled artisans using blue underglaze--a process that was perfected back in 1784 but is still carried out today at the original Spode factory in England. Influenced by a ink and wash drawing from the 17th century, Blue Italian pictures Roman ruins within a pastoral setting in the center of the dinner and salad plates and around the exterior of the mugs. A fantastic floral border on the rims of the gently scalloped plates and the handles of the mugs shows influences from early Chinese porcelain designs. Made of high-quality glazed earthenware, this place setting is delicate in appearance but has been updated to meet today's standards of durability. A varied assortment of dinnerware and home décor items in the Blue Italian pattern is also available to complete a collection. ## Features - Complete Table Setting: This dinnerware set includes 4 each of 10.5-inch dinner plates, 8-inch salad plates, and 12-ounce mugs, making it an ideal complete tableware set for everyday meals. - Inspired by Classic Design: Each piece features a stunning countryside illustration, evoking the charm of traditional landscapes that pairs beautifully with oriental décor. - Functional & Stylish: Whether you're serving a casual lunch or an elegant dinner, the modern tableware design enhances both weeknight dinners and festive occasions. - A Gift with Global Charm: This set complements both rustic dinnerware collections and Asian home decor, making it a thoughtful gift for weddings, housewarmings, or holidays. - Microwave & Oven Safe: Made from durable earthenware, this microwave safe dinnerware can go from kitchen to table with ease, adding both convenience and style to your daily routine. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000662ZJM | | Best Sellers Rank | #401,583 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #1,310 in Dinnerware Sets | | Brand Name | Spode | | Collection Name | Summer | | Color | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (462) | | Finish Types | Glossy | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00749151646858 | | Included Components | Dinnerware Set | | Item Highlight | Complete Table Setting, Includes Four 10.5" Dinner Plates, Four 8" Salad Plates & Four 12 Oz Mugs for Everyday Dining | | Item Weight | 10 pounds | | Manufacturer | Spode | | Manufacturer Part Number | 4053736 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Guaranteed against manufacturer defect's | | Material Type | Earthenware | | Model Number | 1646858 | | Number of Items | 12 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 12 | | Occasion | Birthday, Cocktail | | Pattern | Floral | | Product Care Instructions | Dishwasher Safe | | Shape | Round | | UPC | 092764039853 793842134452 735343275203 749151753617 749151646858 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Spode - **Collection Name:** Summer - **Color:** Blue - **Material:** Earthenware - **Pattern:** Floral ## Images ![Spode Blue Italian Dinnerware Set, Set of 12 - Earthenware (Blue/White) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81eJhDm2STL.jpg) ![Spode Blue Italian Dinnerware Set, Set of 12 - Earthenware (Blue/White) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51SiYIlSwTL.jpg) ![Spode Blue Italian Dinnerware Set, Set of 12 - Earthenware (Blue/White) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51VKOiYNDJL.jpg) ![Spode Blue Italian Dinnerware Set, Set of 12 - Earthenware (Blue/White) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31FYc55cL1L.jpg) ![Spode Blue Italian Dinnerware Set, Set of 12 - Earthenware (Blue/White) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51-k+JWr1PL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: where are dinner plates and salad plates made?** A: Dinner plates and salad plates are made in England.
