Another review had mentioned that they weren't able to use the magnet sandwiched between the case and the phone with their magnetic car holder so I was a bit worried but mine works perfectly fine. So it's worth trying the magnet in case it works. There aren't too many options for cases for the Pixel 3 XL and I chose this one because it looked the most sturdy. I like that the case is double layered and the rounded edge on the front side has prevented my screen from coming in contact with the ground and scratches when I dropped it once so far. The only con is that the backside (the green side) doesn't have friction and for someone with small hands it's especially challenging to hold with one hand. The side grips help but mostly if your one hand is actually large enough to wrap around the entire phone (my hand barely does!).
