I have a 2008 Skidoo MXZ-X 800R PowerTEC and this starter fit perfectly.  The clutch already had the starter ring on it.  I did remove the exhaust system and clutch (use the water trick, better than any removal tool) to install the started.  I wanted to see everything I was doing so I knew it was done right.  The only issue I had on my sled was that the motor mount for the starter did not have the start holes drilled and the round opening needed about an additional 1/8 to let the starter sit correctly in the hole.  This is not the starter kit issue this was the motor mount that came with the sled.  Once that was bolted in tight it rest took minutes to finish up.  Pushed the start/rev button and it fired right up.  SOOOOO HAPPY!

Starter only worked about 10 times. Starter failed. Company dodging any responsibility. Dont buy this product or shop from this seller.
