It’s meant for certain types of fabrics. **Q: which one is waterless? Water leaves a white stain on my couch.** A: The products themselves may be waterless but they all call for water to wash away the Carbona after application. You probably need a dry clean stain remover. **Q: Have spray paint on a jacket that is windbreaker material. Will this remove it?** A: I have used Carbona products for years. However, this is not one that I have had a need for. I just reread the back of the bottle and feel that this might not be the best thing to try. Not knowing what the material is made of makes me suspect it might not the best thing. It says not to use it on acetate and depending on how old the jacket is you might not want to test it on hidden spot. If you happen to have an old jacket of the same material you could try it on that. Sorry I couldn't be more help. If you have bought the product, please read the back of the bottle. I am in love with it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by E***E on 15 January 2016* I purchased this in Oct 2014 to have on hand "just in case" because I love polishing my nails but knew that eventually I was going to end up with polish somewhere other than my nails. It took 15 months to need it but man-o-man am I glad I had this around. I was sorting my polish and accidentally kicked a bottle and it broke at the neck, spilling red holographic nail polish onto my new carpet (in my new apartment... haven't even lived here a month yet!). I immediately threw salt onto the polish pile to soak up the polish that hadn't penetrated into the carpet yet and let it sit for a few minutes while I went to grab the Carbona. The clumped polish was easy to pick up with a paper towel and I was left with a nice half dollar size of red polish on the carpet. I squirted about half the bottle onto the spot, let it sit for about 10 minutes and then started to dab with a paper towel. Once I'd gotten up as much moisture as possible, I poured about half of what was left in the bottle onto the spot again, folded a paper towel over to make a square about the size of the spot and set some heavy books on it for another 10-15 minutes. Once again I blotted as much as possible then sprayed some water on the spot and continued to blot. At this point the spot was almost completely gone. I used the remainder of the bottle on the spot, scrubbed with a white towel and amazingly enough, the spot is barely even noticeable. I went back after a few hours to see how it looked after it had a chance to dry and it took me a minute to even find the spot! Red polish out of a beige carpet! I was amazed!! I'm definitely ordering more, as I'm sure between myself and my teenage daughter, we are bound to have this happen again at some point.
