They are easy to clean, easy to set, and easy to release the mouse. We have regularly caught mice with a peanut butter/cracker combo, and haven't had any instances where the trap gets sprung without the mouse inside. You can easily see if you have caught anything with the clear sides. Definitely worth the money if you need to remove the mice from your home/garage/etc. Just make sure to check daily, as mice get dehydrated easily and can die if not released soon after capture. We once went away for a weekend and forgot about the traps, and came back to a poor dead mouse. Since we are live trapping on purpose of not killing them, we felt terrible, so I hope others can learn from our mistake. Nothing deserves to die by dehydration!Do be careful when placing them on the floor, if you set them down too firmly, the trap door can spring and shut the trap. I like to check with a flashlight to make sure I didn't spring the door, before leaving each one out.We often drive our mice to a park and open the back end and leave them the cracker. The setup and instructions were really simple and clear. Only caught one mouse so far and the trap worked perfectly. I set these up after doing a really thorough clean-out of the trap location after I caught the first mouse and the weather improved about the same time, so I'm not about to write off their effectiveness before I see evidence that the mice are even still here. The fact is, these things catch mice. I really like these traps. They're very humane and effective. As long as you check them often and bait them properly you'll be able to release the mouse unharmed. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Humane does not work, kill them. *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2017* Did not work. 5 minutes after baiting and setting up the mouse stole the bait without even setting off the trap. I caught it in the act and it dropped the cracker, so I picked it up (with gloved hands) and re-baited the trap with it, go to take a shower for work and find the cracker gone again and the trap still set. I look in my closet and find the cracker partially nippled peanut butter face down. I pick it up and find the mouse is taunting me, because it laid it down on top of a piece of rat poison. The mouse also stole bait off a glue trap, so if by some miracle one of these traps work, that mouse is going into a bucket of water.
