They were cheap and cheaply made, so you get what you pay for I guess. Some of the other ones out there were pretty pricey if you wanted something metal and solid. So I figured I'd give these a try.Simple elegant design. Very well made solid construction. Yes they are plastic but not cheap plastic. They hold fast to the mat and carpet areas in my gym. I suspect they'd grip to a tile floor as well due to the rubber grip type material on the bottom. I was not sure I'd like the angled design of the handles, but it actually takes some of the strain off your wrists - a nice side benefit.The price is reasonable and very much in line with the quality of the product. They are not as tall as some of the other designs out there so that might be a consideration for some. A few months ago I shattered my wrist and it still isnt back to 100% healed yet. I have been looking for a specific type of push up bar that I could use for relieve some of the pressure of doing push ups because I could slightly feel it in my wrist and it was uncomfortable doing p90x. So I searched the web and I look around many, many places and all that I found where the regular type of push up bars or the ones that rotate like the perfect push up bars. Those are good and all but they did not help take the pressure from that side of my wrist when I tried those. Eventually I came upon these, which looked promising so I purchased them, And I'm glad that I did. I can place these at a certain angle so that the pressure on the one side of my wrist is greatly reduced and I can hit push ups effectively again until my wrist heals completely.
