The fit of the two parts is very precise and the mouldings are very smooth and clean and free from flash.The tone is good, a little windy but that's typical of plastic flutes.The intonation is pretty much perfect as far as I can tell.The pouch is a nice addition.As others have said, you need to be able to actually play a fife or flute to play this, it's not like a recorder - if you just blow into it it won't make a noise. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ fife *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 March 2021* I am not sure a fife is ever going to be easy to use! But I am gradually learning how to make a nice noise on it. It is a very convenient size for an instrument and easily carried if you are off for a walk or on some adventure. My guitar does not qualify in that way and my trumpet is usually too loud for nature walks! The deer would have to be deaf to stick around! But I am enjoying this fife and the challenge.
