Does the scroll wheel design enable it to work without skipping or refusing to move the pointer as it ages due to wear or dirt?

I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM with a Rapoo "silent" Optical mouse, model N1200 - owned less than one year and this problem suddenly starts up. Took it apart and it LOOKED OK, but apparently the little encoder wheel gets stuck sometimes and it may not LOOK like it with the cover off. I am going to try the lubricant solution I've been finding on YouTube. But SERIOUSLY, this should NEVER happen.

No it does not tilt right or left. . I wished it did, but I am getting use to it. It operates Very Smoothly. I am very happy with it.
