Original Motion Picture soundtrack with music by long time X-Files composer, Mark Snow. In addition to the score, the soundtrack has three additional tracks: Xzibit's never before heard 'Dying To Live', 'Broken' by Hip-Hop's Unkle and the X-Files Theme remixed by Unkle. The X-Files: I Want To Believe features an All-Star cast which, in addition to David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, includes Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly and Rapper Alvin 'Xzibit' Joiner. Directed by X-Files creator, Chris Carter, the film features a screenplay by Carter and Frank Spotnitz. The X-Files: I Want To Believe follows in the footsteps of the immensely successful Fox Network television series and the first X-Files film, Fight The Future.

The previous reviewers have said it all. The recording by Decca, pre-eminent in recording technology since World War 2, is superb. I listened initially on earphones. When I switched to my favourite Grado SR60 headphones the sound expanded to a rich and detailed wide stage with sumptuous bass notes. As mentioned elsewhere, the cello sound is noteworthy.The booklet of 12 pages that accompanies the CD has scenes from the movie as well as the usual track and timing details. The generous recording time is about 10 seconds short of 72 minutes. The shadow font used in the booklet for the track titles, red on a grey background, is not easy to read. Why not use flat white on grey?The 23 tracks on this CD are a wonderful reminder of the movie and an equally memorable X File experience. Both the movie and this CD are highly recommended.
