The 18cm cast iron pot is hob and oven safe, so can be used for regular cooking as well as fondue, thus this can be used any time as an extra, smallish cast iron cooking pot. The versatile cooking pot means that this needn’t become one of those gadgets that lurks in the kitchen, getting used almost non-stop for about a fortnight after it’s first bought, and then not coming out again for months at a time! Lipstick red colour is vivid and well-finished. Enamelled lining is easy to clean after use. The combination of the cast iron pot and stand feels really sturdy in use - I like this a lot better than my Mum's vintage 70s hammered copper fondue set, which is a lot lighter and feels easy to knock over.
