He was just under one when I started using it and now he’s two and a half. I’m sad that he’ll soon be growing past the 40 lb weight limit because he loves riding with me and has even fallen asleep in the seat during rides. I feel the cocoon is a sturdy addition to my bike and have never felt unsure about my child’s safety. Conversely, this thing was a pain to install. Now, I’m not that mechanically adept, though I feel confident to put things together myself in general. It would have been easier if I installed this with someone else, but it took me some time to do it solo. I have a men’s mountain bike with brake cords and it was a little bit of a challenge to fit this seat without crimping those cords, but I managed to get it done.
