Im a person willing to wait for the best deal. The actual mechanism that makes an ionizer is simple.....getting it at a non-ridiculous and moral price is not.The ion b 1000 is the best i could find! How it looks, how simple it is to clean and maintain, how very nearly silent it is and how it truely Works to give you clean fresh smelling air makes it a fantastic buy! It does the job in my large bedroom despit the moving central air and open door! I've absolutely slept through the night every night since day one of using it. I was waking every two to four hours every night before recieving it. My research also showed, even by places like the NIH the ionized air helps with winter depression and mood in general all year round. The ammout of ozone it produces isTruely insignifcant. Do your oun research. You can buy ozone detectors and air particle detectors to test it yourself.I'm purchasing at least one more for the down stairs and another large activity room.HEY, we consumers are catching on......the hype and the packaging can add hundreds of dollars to a comperable or even a less well made product......i hate waisting money!!!! I always do the research and can be very surprized at times with finding a well priced quality product like the ion b 1,000! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Air Purifier! *by L***T on September 4, 2017* I bought this because we are in an area that experiences high levels of wildfire smoke.(Like Now). I am a smoker but have decided that I am going to smoke outside from now on since we just built a brand new cabin to live in, my little dog and I. Shakti has a lot of fur and dander, the fire smoke, and the pumice dust we get. So far it is working as advertised. I wrote the manufacturer and asked if it would be effective if you had your windows open and they said it was fine. They wrote me back in one day. So far I have kept it on low and I don't use the night light..it's really too bright for me, but would make an excellent night light for a larger home. I purchased an extra filter. I have used it now for a month and cleaned the rod and filter yesterday. My little cabin smells fresh and clean.For those of you that smoke, I would suggest biting the bullet and moving your smoking outside. I have ruined too many air conditioners, paintings, and furniture with nicotine residue, not to mention my dog and my lungs. I would imagine that this unit would have to be cleaned once a week for smokers, like your air conditioner filters.No judgment but a good life style change for me.Highly Recommended!!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the purchase. And looks good. *by T***I on October 14, 2015* So far, I am really enjoying this Oion purifier. It's quiet and unobtrusive. I ordered the black purifier and really enjoy the color. I decided to not turn on the night light/blue light on the front as it is rather bright and eye catching. I placed this in my open dining room/kitchen, which already has a night light, and so found it unnecessary to use this feature. I thought the filter was working great, as the air quality has felt a lot better, but I was surprised when I took out the dust collector rod and found very little debris had collected on the rod. We have a litter box, that gives off quite a lot of dust, located within 4 feet of the purifier, so that did surprise me. However, given the open floorplan of our house (the kitchen, dining room, living room and entry hall are all part of one space) I wouldn't be surprised if the extra space has an impact on the effectiveness of the purifier.Like I said initially, I have been very satisfied and feel like the air has been cleaner... but I'm not sure if that's partially just a placebo effect. On the other hand, I ordered this purifier to replace the first one I bought for the area because I felt like that one was not effective at all.
