I opted for the AK2000, which I was very impressed with. I did, however, run into issues trying to update the AK2000, and it became stuck in an update cycle. I returned it to Amazon, and decided to purchase this one, the G6 Plus, as it is compatible with both a mobile phone and a mirrorless dslr.I used it a few nights ago to record a gig with a Canon M50 (18-150mm lens), and it was fantastic! The maximum payload for this gimbal is 800 grams (my camera weights 696 grams with the lens on). The battery life is great, and it handles my M50 no problems - I was concerned the 18-150mm lens might make it difficult to balance, but this was not the case. The set up took me about 5 minutes, and with the extension pole I was able to capture some great footage!I also want to add, I have used the G6 plus with my Huawei P10 Pro, using it in conjunction with a phone clamp, and again it was very nice to use, easy to balance and the end result was very impressive.Would definitely recommend this gimbal as a great bit of kit - it is much smaller than the AK2000, which makes it easier to operate for extended periods of time. ### ⭐ DOES NOT HAVE 1700g LIMIT *by H***Y on 7 January 2019* My camera (sony A7S) and lens combined are only 870g and this device cannot support the load. It WILL work with a much lighter Nikon camera but that's not what I bought it for.
