Windows 10 as the base program instead of any other Windows version is a good choice. Seems to 'boot up' very quickly when first using. This is my only Tablet and I found it to be quite thin and easy to slip out of the hand, unlike, say, a Sat Nav for instance ,so I suggest consideration for this if you are wanting to buy.maybe get a stand or something to grip the tablet, especially if travelling in car or using on the plane.Further I downloaded a whole set of UK maps for the Microsoft's Windows maps app (i.e. 'Here' and 'Bing' based) and found easily sufficient space on the hard drive for offline working - although I'm not sure this method replaces any satnav - and I bought a separate SD card but have found this not to be necessary for my limited use. Its just a useful addition. Lastly, don't forget to use the Microsoft's 'tablet' feature (bottom right hand corner on screen) in Windows 10, makes all usual operations a lot easier.
