It is a fast sailing boat for a crew of 1 to 4. It can also be sailed with an optional trapeze and is offered in a 4 Meter Performance Edition and 5 Meter Racing Edition. The hulls are made from heavy-duty multi-layer PVC and attach to a large diameter anodized aluminum tubular frame which also supports the trampoline.The sophisticated construction of the 6' long trampoline offers a comfortable area for active sailing or just lazing around. There are three hiking straps which run along the trampoline to lock in your feet when sailing in strong winds and flying a hull. The swing keel and flip-up rudder gives the boat a distinctive upwind advantage. The centerboard and rudder will kick up on ground contact allowing for easy beaching. Because of the centerboard's placement in the center of effort the rudder pressure is minimal even at high speeds when flying a hull. The mast is made of anodized aluminum tubing and consists of 3 separate sections of equal length. It is reinforced in the mid-section to give it extra rigidity and strength. The shrouds are made of Dyneema a high-tech synthetic material that is superior to stainless steel rigging and won't splice. The main sail and jib are made from heavy duty Dacron that will retain its shape over many years. Dacron gives the sails great strength, high UV resistance and allows the sails to dry quickly. The Main sail is manufactured with an extra "X-ply" laminate in its high-stress areas. It also features battens which can be adjusted depending on the wind conditions. The jib comes with a continuous furling system. The total sail area is 107 sqf (64 sqf main and 43 sqf jib). The boat can also be used without sails and an optional motor mount for long-shaft outboards of up to 5 hp is available.
