I think it’s down to my car’s specification (mine has a factory-fitted JBL hifi which apparently completely changes the wiring despite the head-unit being the same). My cd changer was wired in a totally different configuration to the plug that came with the unit. The build quality of the unit is sound, and the instructions are relatively good but don’t necessarily expect it to work…there are a lot of variables at play so open the package carefully in case you have to return it!
