The base sticks out futher than the support** A: Tim - It shouldn't be necessary to have the Jouplast on the very outer edge of your deck structure - use them to support the cross member timbers, spacing the last Jouplast about 150mm in from the end of the support timber. Your decking can then be fixed to the outer end of the cross members, lining up or slightly outside with the outer edge of the Jouplast ground plate.I have used Jouplasts in the above way for decking. I have also used them to support a summerhouse, where I did want the Jouplast to be on the very outer edge of the sub-structure. I used 200 x 50 timbers on their flat as the edge beam, 200 mm being the diameter of the Jouplast foot. I cut the vertical fixing flange off the Jouplast upper bearer, and then screwed the bearer centrally to the underside of the 200 mm timber. Fit the foot, and you have an outside beam centrally supported on the Jouplast unit, with no foot projecting. A very good system, very pleased with the result. For a 3x3.5m cabin?** A: HiI've just assembled a cabin of the same size, and I used 44 of these risers (I had to buy 50 as they are sold in packs of 10 - and BTW the plastic boxes they come in make great storage solutions, so a double win). I spaced them every 600mm or so, so each floor joist had 5 risers (and counting the outer frame plus 6 joists that makes 8 joists with 5 risers per joist), and I doubled up at the corners, a bit belt & braces I know, so you could dispense with them and just buy 40. The feet are lightweight but sturdy, very easy to fit and as stated the bonus of being adjustable were perfect for our decking project thus far we have not been disappointed and would highly recommend ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for stabilising a suspended floor *by F***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 May 2023* Too much spring in a suspended floor was cured by removing the boards, in my case chipboard. I then placed a piece of 3 x 2 across the floor joists which in turn was seated on adjustable risers at intervals of approx 50cm . The risers adjust to tighten the cross joist under the floor joists. Although tight to the sub floor and the underside of the cross joist they are held in place with a screw through a small flange on each riser. Note that they are available in different heights with a good 50/60 ml of adjustment to each one. Its worthwhile putting a decent packing of ply between the sub floor and the base of the riser for extra stability.
