Review: Great Collection, Lovely Voice. - Not a huge country fan, have always loved Emmylou's version of "Here, There and Everywhere", which was really the only song i knew by her for years as my dad had bought as the single back in the 70's. Bought Anthology a year or two ago to gain that track on cd. Enjoyed the whole set quite a bit. I came across this set, probably looking at Mark Knopfler albums, A lot of the tracks on the Anthology are included on all of these albums. The tracks I had before sound much better in context of original albums. I have also discovered quite a few tracks that should have been included in the Anthology compilation, like "Poncho and Lefty" and "Even Cowgirls get The Blues". The best two albums for me in this collection are "Luxury Liner" and "Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town", Great Albums. I think some of the original recordings might be showing signs of age as there seems to be a bit of I can only describe as a bit of a rattle on certain notes Emmylou is singing. Might be my headphones though. Don't regret this purchase at all, bought the "original album series Vol. 2" on the strength of this, which is ok, but I prefer this set.

Not a huge country fan, have always loved Emmylou's version of "Here, There and Everywhere", which was really the only song i knew by her for years as my dad had bought as the single back in the 70's.
