I use this for point work, and deep stripping. I've been a massage therapist for about 18 years. Around year 14 is when I first began to injure myself. That's when a fellow therapist turned me on to the Thumbsavers. I prefer to not use my thumbs at all but when I need to, I do it with a Thumbsaver. The Thumbsaver really supports my thumbs and protects them from needless over-work and injury.
