Yamaha DBR Series DBR 15" 1000W Powered Speaker Cabinet

I use a pair of these for my bands up front PA system. They are all we need for the shows we do...we even can run keyboards and bass drum thru them!

These speakers have clarity and more volume them I could use right now. They may be a bit on the steep end price wise unless you need some serious decibels.

This is my first set of Dj speakers but I'm not new to the Audio world. I listened to many different brands before buying these.These speakers are LOUD and suprisingly punchy and clear.....I love them ....just add a powered sub and you're ready to rock! They'll pair we'll with a Boomy Sub!

Lo Maximo, suena súper duro y hermoso.

I bought the DBR15. It's a very powerful and surprisingly light unit considering. I am comparing this to lugging around a JBL EON15 G2, which has fewer handles and weighs more. With this one, I grab both handles, hug it to my chest and walk as normal. Thank you!Sound quality is excellent. The feature of having a 3 position sound contour setting allows alternatives for boosting the highs and lows to fit the application somewhat, but it is not as flexible as having knobs for highs and lows that can each be adjusted anywhere in a range. I use the contour in the Off position - i.e. flat with no boosting on the speaker - and do my sound shaping on the input signal from a mixer. Sounds great, and I get exactly what I want.In terms of the fan based cooling, and the user manual's warning to beware of using it in environments having a lot of air-born dust and such, I just gaffers-taped a piece of air conditioner filter over the input grate. Issue solved. I have a long haired dog, which makes for a hostile environment exactly like the one they warn against.Why the 15 and not the 12 or the 10? In the music production I do, being able to deliver the power on the the bottom end is important (kick and bass). I am also not always in generously spacious venues, so the 15 can do the job without a separate sub. One less thing to lug and setup, without compromising the ability to deliver a low end that can be heard AND FELT.No regrets. There you have it!

We have several Yamaha products most of which are professional grade. We needed two of he DBR 15's for stage sound support and they are super. They are easy to haul around, easy to set up and easy to run through the FOH mixer. They are well priced, and Yamaha are pretty hard to beat at their price point. Highly recommended.

This works great! My neighbor says he can feel his house shake when we’re playing our heavy bass music!

Great sound that carries outside.

I used it for rehearsal purposes, so it will stay in the same spot, and not be transported from place to place so no worries about damaging its thin plastic. The speaker didn't come with a protective cover.The sound is strong enough for rehearsals but if its plastic was thicker, its sound would surely be better, warmer, tighter. Recommended for stationary uses.

Caixa potente com som bonito e com design atraente !!!

Es un altavoz potente (133 db), quizá el más potente de las gama de entrada de diferentes marcas como JBL, EV, QSC, HK, DAS, LD, Audiocenter, Mackie, etc. La calidad de audio es buena y la esperada para este segmento. Está muy bien protegido internamente, no se calienta (trae su propio ventilador a comparación de la ZLX de EV) y se autoprotege, por lo cual, no tiene tema que rápidamente llega al límite como EV.En cuanto a construcción, se siente plasticoso (como las Kaiser) pero nada de qué preocuparse si eres cuidadoso con tus cosas (tampoco es que se sienta que se rompa al primer golpe). Es un altavoz muy sencillo, no tiene escenas ni mucho de dónde moverle (aunque conectado a una mixer no tienes de qué preocuparte por efectos).Aprovechando que tenía mis QSC K12.2 cerca decidí hacer una pequeña comparativa en espejo. Si bien no es una competencia justa porque la serie K12.2 compite contra la DXR, el resultado es bastante bueno para ser 10 mil pesos MXN (500 dólares) más barata. Sí, se nota la diferencia de calidad de audio pero por el precio está bien justificado. De hecho estás DRB las usaría para un sonido de menores prestaciones (servicio más barato), o como sonido de complemento para cuando necesite cubrir un mayor número de gente.Considero que un par de estos altavoces cubren sin problema en un lugar cerrado hasta 150 personas sin exigirle mucho a los graves y con una buena ecualización.En resumen, si buscas algo potente, duradero y que se escuche bien y a buen precio, estos altavoces te dejarán más que satisfecho.
