Each piece is SOOOOOOO thick that I ask myself everytime I look at it: why is this silverware so thick? Anyway, I enjoy eating off my thick silverware.I am beyond upset that for this price you only get 5 pieces. I am now in love with them and was going to order more, but I am not going to pay $60.00 for 5 pieces of silverware. They need to lower the price.Update 02/19/2018 - This is my favorite silverware. I have tried to purchased equivalents and been disappointed. I finally decided to order 2 more sets for a whopping $120.00 and the seller sends me pewter. Balance, beauty, function and low maintenance. *by D*** on September 10, 2016* Raffaello is the fifth design from Mepra in flatware that I am trying out and I really like this one. Actually, it's the best one so far. Each piece has the mirror bright shine that doesn't fade with use or multiple trips through the dishwasher. A simple, elegant pattern that looks nice alongside my cheap daily plates and my beautiful heirloom bone china.The size of each utensil is just right as well - the teaspoon works for coffee and as a dessert or cereal spoon. The larger one is good for twirling pasta in, serving food, and scoops ice cream without bending. The knife is sharp & heavy and yet balanced perfectly so you can cut meat, but never feel like it is slipping. Plus the handle shape allows it to rest flat against the side of a plate. Additionally, the forks and spoons have a comfortable shape that lends itself to a comfortable mouth feel with no sharp points or odd angles. This stuff is expensive, but I think I am a convert. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Superb stainless setting from Italy *by J***G on August 23, 2016* Like most U.S. Amazon customers, I was not familiar with Mepra until I got my hands on two sets of their flatware. I reviewed the other Mepra Linea Oro Nero 5 Piece Place Setting, Gunmetal Black and so I am comparing this set to that one as well as to my other utensils.My everyday silverware drawer contains an assortment of utensils, about five different patterns. Except for one set, or remains thereof, I don't remember how they all ended up living in my kitchen, but there they are, and for many years we've been using, washing, and using again. Maybe, we said, it's time for us to get a matched set of everyday utensils. The Raffaello looked just about perfect, and the price point was right too.To me, they look much better in the photo, although they are exceptionally mirrorlike. They aren't particularly heavy, although hefty enough for normal use. Expensive for a stainless set.They're about half the cost of the other set I reviewed, but I like that set about 10x as much as this one.Amazon is carrying a wide range of Mepra utensils and I am intrigued enough to want to find out more.
