Can opener and so much more
Carried one of these p38 can openers for over 55 years, put one on your key ring and it makes a great tool as well as a can opener

Real P-38's....
They're actual P-38's - if you were on active duty before the rise of MREs, you'll know exactly how useful these can be. From opening cans ( duh! ) to using as a make shift screwdriver, they're worth a place on your key chain!

Very handy little can opener, but...........
I remember my Dad always carring a P38 on his keychain, that he brought home from Vietnam, and used every chance he got. I sometimes carry canned food with a full sized can opener with me to work, because my day ranges anywhere from 8 to 16 hrs a day. I have a backpack cooler and it does it's job very well, but space is very limited with it. So with that, I jumped on here, found some P-38's, and ordered them. Unfortunately for me, when I opened the pack of 20 openers, 5 of the 20 have defects all in the same spot, on the hinge (See photo). These 5 are virtually useless, because of the area in which the defect resides. I'm sure that if used, the blade will break off. It was a great deal though, about $10 for 20 P-38's, So I guess it'll work.

Great item to put in blessing bags for the homeless
We bought these to put in blessing bags we made up for homeless people. Many cans do not have a pop top, so the homeless really need these. Many homeless people were military so they already know how to use these. They are also small and lightweight, (and of course don't need electricity to use) so they are easy to keep in their backpacks. It's a really nice treat to find these in their blessing bags. They are SO necessary! It's our favorite thing to include in our blessing bags. Very affordable.

Best portable can opener
Perhaps one of the smallest and easier ways to carry a can opener. I am older and the ease of opening a โfood canโ is difficult, it can be done. This is a must have tool when camping or dry camping, such a simple tool but great to have. Soldiers have loved these can openers for years, especially in the field and defending our great USA.

The BEST Can opener
What can you say about these except that they do EXACTLY what they were meant to do and they do it just so well. They're built like tanks, solid and sturdy. Everyone should have either one of these P-38s or a P-51 at the ready. I bought these to give away. I already have one on my key ring, in all my packs and in my kitchen. I first used these in the military to open C-rats. This is one absolutely necessary item to own. You seldom find something that is as perfectly idiot-proof as these. And I have had some experience with idiots.

Quality
Not a true P-38, yea it looks like one but not like an original, it does work and will suffice, however will not last line an origionial
