Works perfectly with my Vietnamese coffee powder. I think people should use this more since it’s eco friendly because there’s no need to buy paper filters. Less waste, less trash, better for the environment. It’s also very portable, great for hiking or camping. The water flow can be adjusted somewhat, but I think it will work well with all strong bodied coffees. Vietnamese coffee is the best tasting coffee in my opinion.

Got this for my husband, he loves it. Easy to use and clean. The quality of coffee coming out is very good. Quality of product is strong and steady when using.

This is a decent phin filter, i've used it almost daily to make coffee and it gives a consistent drip. It's not complicated to use, you just pour your ground coffee in, screw on the gravity plate, put the base on top of your cup, put the filter on the base, pour some hot water in, put the top lid on, and wait about 5 minutes for your brew. I've removed 1 star as the quality control on the soldering finish for the handle seems to be poor. I was washing the filter and managed to get a small cut on my finger due to the solder sticking out. I've since managed to break it off so no more painful surprises but do check yours when you get it. I've uploaded pictures of the issue.

Have been looking for a portable coffee maker that makes good strong coffee. A friend suggested I try one of these and I'm not disappointed. The pot looks and feels good, easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee in about 5 mins from grinding the beans to tasting. I prefer a strong, black , robust brew but sure it would be great however you take yours.

It made absolutely delicious coffee but broke in about 3 months which was a shame. A bit annoying to clean. It takes time to brew the coffee, roughly 10-15 minutes but was usually worth the wait.

I JUST started drinking coffee for the first time and I am already a coffee snob - wanted to drink my cofee differently to the average Joe :-) Somehow the idea of Vietnamese coffee came up and so I researched several options settling on this one for its cost as well as all the bits that came with it. The instructions are clear and the recipes were VERY TASTY! Really enjoyed putting a bit of condensed milk and having it cold OR hot.

Very happy with the quality! Due to triple wall of wholes it makes the water to drip slower and extract more out of the coffee, as it should do, IMHO. FAR BETTER than any plastic+cotton filter alternatives!

Hace un café riquísimo pero no le doy 5 estrellas porque me parece un producto caro para lo que es. Lo compré porque son difíciles de encontrar en España y no me quería complicar demasiado la vida. El mío no está muy bien acabado, la soldadura se ve de baja calidad. Aún así lo estoy usando todos los días y me parece que está genial para cualquiera que simplemente quiera hacerse una taza de café ya se sea en casa, la oficina o en el campo.

I’ve used the Aeropress, French Press, Moka Pot and this Phin coffee filter is by far my favourite way to make coffee. Definitely my go to for daily brews and if I’m in the mood for Vietnamese Iced coffee. There will be coffee grinds, if you wanted you can use a round paper filter on the bottom of the Phin for a clean brew. It’s super easy to use and to clean so that’s a great plus. You can’t really go wrong with this. It’s cheap and a simple way to make your coffee.

I have bought it to use on liveaboards. And it works perfectly. Just a few minutes and a cup of a flavored coffee is ready. Thus far TNI King coffee looks like a good choice for it.
