Isopure Clear Whey Isolate Protein Powder, Mango Lime, 14 Serving

Full transparency here - I do not like the flavor of this on its own, but I have figured out a mixture that works very well for me. I love the Dunkin pineapple mango refresher, but it's just a ton of sugar and empty calories. I was hoping the tropical punch mix would be similar in flavor and of course, it was not nearly the same. That said, it is a very light flavor that is not overly sweet, so I now add one Dunkin sugar free pineapple mango powder packet to the scoop of protein powder, and while the taste isn't an exact match, it's a really good dupe that gives me 20g of protein first thing in the morning. I now find that I crave this every morning and it has helped me tremendously since starting my GLP-1 journey. I struggle a lot with being aggressively NOT hungry a lot of the time, and especially in the morning, eating a nutritious breakfast with protein is really tough for me to manage. This gets me off on the right foot and gets me through until either lunch or a mid-morning snack - if you are typically hungry, I doubt this is going to fill you at all, but if you also struggle with not being hungry or you just need another way to easily get protein, this could be a really great option for you. The texture is absolutely smooth and there is no viscosity or sliminess like you can get with some clear proteins. It needs to be shaken very well, but once the foam dies down, it's exactly the consistency of water. I do mix it with a good 24 oz of water and ice (best super cold in my opinion), and that combo with the Dunkin packet gives me a protein refresher that I can easily stomach and enjoy any time of day, but especially when the lack of hunger is preventing me from eating real food. Digestive-wise, this one is great for me. I have noticed that other protein drinks (the creamy whey shakes and even the protein milks) can sit in my stomach like concrete or even give me nasty GERD symptoms. This one does not at all for me. I also tried the Isopure mixed berry packets with electrolytes and those immediately gave me a stomach ache - maybe the electrolytes, I don't know. I did some research on other similar products and this one is a decent per oz. price, and it's a nice light product with great texture and high quality ingredients that can be mixed up with other powders. Here's my process: 1) poured cold bottled water from fridge into medium shaker bottle (no ball) 2) added 1 scoop protein powder 3) shook hard 4) let settle for a few minutes 5) shook hard again 6) set in fridge to settle until I was ready to drink When I went to get it from the fridge, I was pleasantly surprised to see how clear it was. The foam had completely settled and there were no clumps at all! I thought there might be just a bit of grittiness at the very bottom, but there was none. I did not shake it anymore after I started drinking it. I saw other reviews that said they would make a few of these at a time, and they were fine in the fridge for a couple days, so I plan to try that for a true grab-and-go option. This made me feel SO full. I can't imagine eating a meal anytime soon after having it, but that's going to differ from person to person. I'm also not used to having a lot of protein in one sitting, so once I get used to it, that overfull feeling may change. So, to say I'm impressed and so excited I finally found an easy way to get more protein, is an understatement. It's not cheap, but it's actually not too bad considering you have to pay for protein no matter which source you get it from. Tastes like a berry juice! I bought this because I already make a lot of berry mixed smoothies, and this does not taste sour or tart in any way. There’s not an aftertaste that I can tell, and it’s refreshing honestly. A few minor complaints to say about it is that the product inside has settled significantly and it’s basically filled halfway, which may not be the best serving/cost ratio because this is a bit pricey for what you’re getting, I thought this was a large 1 pound container but it’s just under 1 pound. then the powder is finely grated so it gets everywhere! I mean, I was trying to find the scoop inside of the container and my whole hand was covered in the powder. Lastly, this product foams up so much I had to wait about 10 minutes, I wasn’t in a hurry bc I was just tasting it. At first glance It smells amazing like a tropical berry scent. Buy this bc this is coming from someone who is super picky about protein powders. Use a milk frother to effectively blend all clumps. You can even dry scoop this if you wanted to and it’s sweet, but it’s subtle.

I really like these and have purchased multiple flavors. This is one my favorites and its nice to know I can mix this in some water and in a few minutes have something good to drink. They are healthy and while I only mix them in water, I wonder if they are versatile enough to mix with other things. I did find that you can control the taste based on how much water you use. I find I like it best with a 17oz bottle of Aquafina to 1 scoop. The only negative I have is I wish it was cheaper.

I'm very texture and taste fussy, but this one I can drink! It's a lot like drinking slightly over-diluted Kool -aid. There's a slight bitter aftertaste- maybe that's just me or the flavor, but it's not enough to put me off; I'll be trying the other flavors, too. Yes, it doesn't up initially, but just wait a few minutes and the foam is gone. I highly recommended Isopure Clear.

I love Isopure as a protein workout supplement, usually opting for the Isopure Vanilla or plain powder in a small glass of water (6 ounces of room-temp water, stir rapidly with a fork, drink fast) or in a smoothie. The protein powder and water can be tough to drink every day, so I was thrilled when I found the fruity flavors. Had to give them a try. Here's the result: Best: Pre-Made Protein Waters in Your Fridge For some reason, these flavors take forever to dissolve in water. However, the fruity powders are fantastic for pre-made protein waters. My recommendation is to fill a water bottle with 16-20 ounces (a full scoop will dissolve in 8-10 ounces - but the taste is very tart) of room temperature water (mixes faster than cold water). Add a full scoop of the fruity powder and shake vigorously. You'll end up with lots of foam and powder residue at the top of the bottle. Pop the water bottle in the fridge for 4+ hours. That's about how long it takes to fully dissolve and the flavor is better when cold. The result is a fantastic fruity protein water. I like to make 4 bottles at a time and stock the fridge. Then, I can grab one to take to a workout or in the car on the way to work. The pre-made protein waters are really good and you get the benefit of lots of water and the 20 grams of protein. See the picture for a drink left in the fridge for 4 hours. The powder completely dissolves and the flavor is perfect. I've started to crave the flavor on days I don't workout. Okay: In a Shake The classic vanilla/choc/plain flavors dissolve easily in a small amount of water or milk. In shakes, I typically use 1/2 cup to 1 cup of liquid, which is fine for the classic flavors. For the fruity flavors, it's hard to get them to dissolve fully in a shake. The flavors are good - especially in berry shakes with greens - but there is always some powder residue in the shake. You can also premix the powder and liquid and leave overnight for use in the morning for a better shake. Makes drinking spinach or kale in a smoothie much tastier. Not Great: Drinking Straight in a Glass of Water Seriously, this stuff takes a LONG time to dissolve. The fruity powders are not meant for a quick mix in a glass of water. Stick to the classic flavors if this is your plan.

Come on Isopure, do better! It is completely unnecessary for this amount of protein powder to be placed in the size of container it comes in. Absolutely ridiculous. I know the powder does settle, but seriously, do you need a container nearly twice the size as what it settles to? Taste is better than expected, but not great. I mixed it in a shaker bottle with cold water from the fridge and it just took a moderate amount of shaking to dissolve and there are no lumps.

I agonize over which flavor to choose and finally settled on Citrus. So far, I'm happy with my decision. I made my first glass of this. I read the label, more like glanced, and saw the shaker cup. I pulled mine out of the cabinet, filled it will ice then water, then a scoop of the powder. I was really impressed with how fine and light the powder is, a good sign to me that it'll mix well with water. On went the lid and I started shaking. I had a quick reminder to make sure the flip top part is secure... cleaned up that mess and shook some more. I could clearly see clumps and decided to skip the shaking and go to the Nutribullet. This was not a good idea. So. Much. Foam. It's dense enough that it holds my straw (reusable, plastic) upright in the middle of the cup. It's settling down quickly and I've taken a few drinks with a straw (how I normally drink from a cup, unless I want to wear it). The flavor is light and pleasantly citrus. It has a weird after taste - I think it's a "protein" taste. I would like to caution the reader here, my assessment of the taste is not the most reliable. I finished chemo a year ago and things still don't taste the same. One of my biggest issues is that drinks will have a viscous flavor and makes me want to gag. Every electrolyte drink/mix, juice, and water enhancer does this. I've been board out of my mind with plain water, so I thought I'd try this and get a protein bump out of it too. Overall, the flavor is good. I read a comment about mixing with fruit juice - I can tolerate 100% cranberry juice well so tomorrow we'll see how cran-citrus tastes!

First time trying a clear protein powder and to be honest, this it just disappointing and waste of money. I’m sad that I didn’t get past the good reviews to know the actual product results. It’s foamy and does not taste like tropical punch at all. Very bad after taste had to drain it down the sink. Just wondering now what am I going to do with the rest of the product.

Haven't used anything like this before. It dissolves in water ro a clear liquid and tastes great! I am not going back to any other protien powder
