I noticed that it's easier when you want to exercise kicks underwater. Other exercises like pedaling movements and chest kicks and you feel almost as you were barefoot. Once you're out of the pool they weight nothing to carry them. Review: Does not work for me - These fins are a no go for me. First, They float, as in on top of the water. This forces the back into hyperextension which, for my back, is not a good thing. Second, there is no flex whatsoever. I tried them while doing the backstroke and they would have been much easier on the toes and knees if there was a bit of bend to them. I think I may be able to use them in the backstroke, but have not used them since the trial run so do not know.
