They are a good option.
The remotes to our mini splits were misplaced so we ordered these. They worked well but we didn’t need to use them since we found the original remotes.

A replacement remote with a poor timer function.
We recently installed a Lennox Split system into our home and were disappointed to discover you cannot schedule on and off times. This remote was recommended. Yes, you can schedule a start and stop time, which does work, BUT, it only works ONCE. If you want to daily (like heating the kitchen at wake up time) you have so set it every night. Also, some of the buttons do nothing even though programmed for our unit, and you have to set the units mode in advance, This simply turns on the unit. I can be used as a regular remote replacement, but you might be missing a function or two.

A very nice remote for my system...
I have a 15 year old Sanyo split mini heat pump system (RCS-4HVPIS4U, KHS1872/CH1872) and the OEM remote stopped working. This system is discontinued so best advice was to find a universal remote that would function. Searches led me to this one and a few others. I was skeptical but given the price thought I couldn’t lose. It's the most elegant of all those I located and it emulates all functions of the OEM. You do have to program the correct universal code for your specific manufacturer's unit (mine is 0529). It has an auto find capability but it was so slow, I decided on the manual, entering a code at a time, process. It took about a half dozen attempts to get the correct code. Once I entered and set it, the remote worked flawlessly. One plus that this one has over the other universal remotes I found, is the much larger LCD screen. Overall, very happy with this remote.
