Munchkin Cool Cat Stainless SteelToddler Cup with Straw, 8 oz, Purple

My toddler seems really like this cup. She likes being able to use the handles— it makes it easy for her to grip and drink from. The handles are removable though, if your toddler prefers not to use them. It keeps her drink cold and feels like overall good quality. I purchased the purple cup and the color is nice and vibrant. The little cat design is super cute. I normally hand wash her cups. If you’re like me, I typically break down the entire cup and wash each piece. This cup breaks down into 6 separate pieces. Although it’s several pieces, I feel like it’s easy to take apart and put back together after everything is dry. My toddler likes to bite straws and so far, this one has held up ok. It also seems to do well with limited leaking. It seems like if there is any liquid in the top part of the straw part, it will leak out easily if the top is not secured down. Also, if the top is closed and there is liquid in the top part of the straw, it may spray out after you open the lid — so just a word of caution. Overall happy with purchase. Feel that it’s a little pricey, but haven’t been disappointed so far.

I’m really pleased with this cup for my toddler son. We bought our first one when he figured out straws somewhere around 1 year. I recently purchased a second one for his lunch at Mother’s Day Out, but our first one is still working well. First, it is hard to clean the straw, but I appreciate that because it also does not spill easily. He can throw this one on the ground and no water comes out. I put this cup in my purse/diaper bag with the lid secured and it has never leaked! (We only use this cup for water) It will leak overnight if ice water is left inside and the lid is open, but that’s normal for this type of cup. You can close the lid and it will not leak, but upon opening, it will begin to flow a bit. I find this type of leakage to be acceptable as long as I know it’s coming. The straw for this cup is not an easy flow, which turned out to be a good thing for our new straw user. If the straw were free flowing, he would get too much liquid, which we’ve learned the hard way with other cups. He ends up dripping or choking. I’m also happy with the handles and the insulated design. It’s hard to find that combo in a kids cup. Overall, we’ve been very happy with this cup. We have tried many others that I’ve thrown away or given away, but this one is our winner.

Definitely baby approved! The cup comes with rotating handles, which is great because your baby can grip it from any angle comfortably. And when it’s time to wash, the handles come right off, making it super easy and requiring no struggle. The lid has two open positions, the first one opens halfway, and the second one flips the lid all the way back. That makes it easy to control how far open you want it, depending on what you're doing. However, here’s where I ran into a little issue: when I first tried giving it to my baby, the water didn’t come out easily. It was really hard to sip. It turns out there’s a valve inside that helps prevent spills, but it also makes it difficult for the water to flow through the straw. Here’s my little mom hack: I took a wooden skewer, inserted it gently into the straw hole at the top, and moved it in a circular motion to create a bit more space. That tiny adjustment made a huge difference! Now the water flows out much more easily, and it still doesn’t leak. Overall, I love this cup. It keeps drinks cool, it’s easy to clean, super sturdy, and now it works just the way we need it to. Definitely a win in our house!

Great product for kids! Really like it

I bought this cup for my 12 month old to use on the go because I wanted something leak proof instead of a regular straw cup with a lid. At home we use open cups and straws, no sippy cups. This works perfectly for us. My toddler was able to easily transition from the regular straw to this one, and just needed a few initial tries to learn how to sip from it because it does require a little more effort than a regular straw. It is spill proof when it is thrown and it is stainless steel on the inside of the cup with a plastic/silicone straw. Cold water stays cold for hours. The lid, handle and cup come apart for easy cleaning. Because it is leak proof a little bit of the liquid can get stuck in the upper part of the straw so I recommend using a straw brush to clean it regularly when washing out the rest of the cup. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy but that is to be expected with an insulated stainless steel cup.

I love this cup. Great for on the go and use at home! We prefer the straw design as opposed to other sippy cup designs. Great for promoting lip rounding for speech. It’s easy for my 12 month old to hold on her own and durable. I will say, it’s not the easiest to use when starting out. My daughter did a great job with a normal straw (for a 6 month old) but had troubles with pulling liquid through the leak proof straw design when she was younger. The more practice she got with a normal straw the better she got with the leak proof straw. This could also just be my daughter. Others may have immediate success. Side note - my daughter has been exclusively breastfed aside from the introduction to solids and exposure to small amounts of water starting around 6 months (via straw and open cup). Idk if the ease of use will differ with babies who have used bottles. Worth the purchase though! Still a 5 star for us!

I love these cups, my daughter loves these cups, so it’s not the cups fault. The cups are GREAT. Whoever the seller is of this item allowed an already used and dirty cup to be shipped to me. I thought it was weird that I bought 2 cups to replace 2 that we already have. 1 came packaged & 1 came unpackaged, but I thought nothing of it because SURELY nobody is saying things are new and selling them with milk stains and leftover residue from someone drinking from it. ANYWAY, I go to wash it before it’s first use.. because all these things for kids say, “wash with soap and water before first use” & i believe in that to protect my baby. I untwist the cap & it has dings on the inside bottom. I’m like okay maybe that happened during shipping. Then I notice the straw was dirty. I’m like i don’t know what’s happening but I’m going to wash it. When I get to the top and taking that apart to be washed. It has milk residue in the inside cap, I know this because I’ve seen it in my child’s cup. You have to use a small brush to get in clean. Milk residue under the ring that keeps the milk from spilling if the cup is overturned. & lips crust on the straw as well as something red stuck in the straw. THAT I couldn’t let go. So not the cups fault, GREAT cup, but whoever the shipper was. I’m disappointed in receiving a dirty cup.

My daughter wouldnt use this cup and i didnt know what was wrong so tried to suck through the straw myself and its absolutely impossible to get any water to come through. No point in it being leakproof if you cant use it in the first place. Very nice bottle otherwise but we cant use it so 1 star!

nothing comes out of the straw. I tried it myself too, you have to take a great deal of effort to get some water out.

Tried to clean this portion several times, used all possible option. Not sure where and how it is getting stuck. Design of the straw is ridiculous.
