Don't use a generic 1/2 or 5/8th tubing as it may or may not attach correctly using the Eheim system. The Eheim tubing is superior to any generic you will find also. **Q: Is this factory equipment and is it CO2 resistant?** A: This is Eheim tubing. The same tubing you would get with purchasing an Eheim filter that uses this size tubing. I don’t know what you mean by CO2 resistant? It is good solid tubing. **Q: Will it work with Eheim Pro 4+ 600 Filter?** A: Yes, I replaced the standard hoses and upgraded the standard attachments to my Eheim Pro 4+ Canister Filter using this tubing. **Q: Is the inner tube size is 5/8 inches?** A: It measures 16/22 mm or close to 5/8 inches. Perfect size to fit on the lock valve barbs and still be able to screw the red retainer nuts over the tubing to secure it.
