## Overview

Polywatch Plastic Lens Scratch Remover is a specialized polishing paste designed to remove scratches from plastic watch crystals. By applying and buffing the paste for a few minutes, micro-abrasive particles gently dissolve and smooth out scratches, restoring clarity without the need for costly crystal replacement. Each 5ml tube provides approximately 10 uses, making it a convenient and affordable solution for maintaining the pristine look of plastic watch faces.

## Description

THE PROBLEM Plastic watch crystals scratch very easily with the result that they soon look unattractive. Replacement of the crystal is not normally possible, especially where watches have plastic cases. THE SOLUTION Watch owners the world over suffer from this sort of problem, but now polyWatch, a new type of special-purpose polishing paste, offers them an extraordinarily simple solution. For the first time, consumers can remove scratches rapidly and cheaply from their plastic watch crystal by carrying out an easy-to-follow "do-it-yourself" procedure. Apply polyWatch to the watch crystal. Polish the scratched areas for 2-3 minutes with great pressure at a right angle to the scratches, using a piece of cotton wool. Deep scratches need to be treated more than once. Finally, remove any remaining polyWatch with a cloth. The tube contents of 5 ml is sufficient for approximately 10 uses. The plastic glass is very slightly dissolved and ground down by tiny abrasive particles. The edges of the scratch marks are then smoothed off and the cracks filled in with some of the original plastic from the watch crystal.

Review: First time user - Works just like it should. - I have a watch or two with plastic/acrylic/etc "crystals" in them that were really scratched up. A simple a cost friendly fix was to get some PolyWatch that I've heard about from various sources. For this review I used an older Seiko automatic that I recently purchased off of eBay for cheap. The glass or "crystal" was really scratched up so I thought it a perfect candidate. After receiving the tube, I sat down with some Q-tips and paper towels on a desk. I set the watch down and squeezed some on and buffed with a Q-tip/cotton swab for 3-5 minutes (re-applying a little paste every minute or so). After that first session It was hard to tell if it had worked, but the watch in question was pretty badly scratched and dinged up so I went another 5-10 mins. After that I could definitely tell a difference - the deep gouges and scratches were much less noticeable and the dial more visible. I went another 5-7 minutes before calling it a night and was surprised at the before/after photo comparison. I'd say in total I buffed this 1 watch crystal for about 20 minutes, re-applying paste often. I'd guess I used about 1/4 of the amount in the tube. I will say, the tube is not 100% full from the start - Holding it up to a light you can see about 60% of it contained product. For the higher cost for such a small tube, consideration should be given to how much is used and on what projects. It IS cheaper and less hassle than replacing the crystal though. PROS: - It works. May take several coats and some elbow grease to really get deep scratches and dings out. - Comes with nice little fabric swab that seemed to work well with the paste. - Cheaper than replacing the crystal. CONS: - Small tube for how much it costs. Expect 2-4 good uses from this 1 tube for deeply scratched crystals. - Tube comes filled with a lot of air - package size can be misleading to how much content is inside. *Photo attached shows "Before" photos on Left side, "After" photos on Right side. Watch has a few spots and dust specks inside crystal so some of that isn't the crystal.
Review: Forget about it. - I had high hopes, but this product is totally bogus. It is a polish, as stated on the front of the tube. The directions say, "Apply PolyWatch to the plastic watch crystal. Polish the scratched areas for 2 to 3 minutes with pressure using a piece of cotton wool. Deep scratches need to be treated more than once." I've got news for you. You could apply, re-apply and re-apply again til doomsday, and it ain't doing a darn thing to remove the scratches, no matter how shallow. Tried it on a watch and on reading glasses. No impact whatsoever.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this product safe for eye glasses?**
A: I would think it would work fine on most types of plastic, even lenses-as long as they're plastic. But with eyeglasses use caution. maybe try a small area first and check with the manufacture's website and see what they say! I have not use this product on any eye glasses.

**Q: Can this be used on plastic crystals with protective coating (like the Junghans Max Bills) without further damage?**
A: This product polishes scratches out of plastic materials, so I assume it will remove any protective coating that resides on the surface of the plastic.

**Q: Would it work on a Fitbit screen?**
A: It might work on a FitBit screen since it's made of a plastic material. If the FitBit is already badly scratched and you have trouble reading it, you really have nothing to lose by trying this. Good luck.

**Q: Will this work on polarized sunglasses?**
A: YEs it should work wonderfully! I use it on my prescription lenses as well as my polarized fishing sunglasses. it works great for the light scratch's I get from normal wear. Its not so great for deep gouges though but I don't think theres many if any products that coudl help with that type of damage.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This amazing product really works!
*by N***Y on June 7, 2017*

I had recently purchased a Swatch Sistem 51 watch here on Amazon and really liked the watch, but I had already managed to get some small scratches on the acrylic crystal and that distressed me. The watch is beautiful, but the scratches detracted from that beauty. I decided to Google "how to remove scratches from an acrylic watch crystal" and the search result led me to Polywatch here on Amazon. I looked at the product and found many favorable reviews, so I made up my mind to order some and figure "what the heck, if it works, the scratches will be gone and if not, at least I tried." To my great surprise, this product works so well that with just a tiny bit of it applied to the crystal and a couple minutes of rubbing with a soft cotton cloth and those scratches were gone. There isn't even a trace of a scratch visible now! I could hardly believe how easy it was and that the results were so remarkable. This product clearly works as described. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
