After a devastating ladder fall and resulting injury, the founder of Ladder Lockdown, Troy Kumprey, was determined to find a way to prevent this tragedy from happening again. In his search for a practical solution, he realized there wasn't a product available to stabilize ladders. As the owner of a contracting company with a background in engineering, he knew that ladder stability starts from the ground up. There were only a few ladder safety products on the market, which only attempted to secure a ladder from the top without addressing the problem of stability on the ground when used on different types of terrain.
